Business Hours Input

    Hi,

    I was just wondering, if the input for the Business Hours could be changed from slider to just text input? The slider input is actually taking up alot of time because we have to click on the slider and adjust it till it lands at the precise spot and it’s even worse for minutes because you have to make sure it lands at say 30mins and sometimes you could be at 28mins, or 32mins.

    And because of the slider function we can’t simply copy and paste the operating hours and instead have to manually adjust it and repeat the same thing for every single day of the week.

    It’s really quite cumbersome and sometimes frustrating to have to do that for every single listing. Of course there is the import function that’s supposed to make things easier but there is also a group of users who could be putting up the listings and also when we want to put up individual listings, as contrast to bulk listings, it’s a feature that is often used.

    Hi Alex,

    Thanks. I appreciate you pointing me to that. Now the thing I am looking for is to have the interface to be user-friendly and efficient.

    In fact the events add-on, event time field has the user-friendly time input feature I’m talking about.

    The snippet doesn’t really work in this case. Could you point me to the url where I can put in a feature request?

    The developers are making regular updates and I can make a note of your suggestions.

    What are you looking for?

    A new and different UI for business hours?

    Can you provide examples of any other awesome UI you have seen for this function/feature?

    Feel free to add screenshots or more information and we will atek it up into our suggestion pool.

    Hi Alex,

    Thanks for the response. The input type for Event Time is actually pretty good because of the option to type or select from the dropdown list and the flexibility to change the time increments.

    It would be great if we could use that input type, add in a column for closed and also have Monday act as a template so once users enter an opening and closing time for Monday, the timing for the rest of the days follow suit. So users do not have to repeat the same information, but only edit the certain days where opening or closing hour might differ from the usual.
