I’m using geodirectory for a classifieds application, and in that, we have a field that is “Sold” for customers to close their listing. I’d like to setup a button on the details page to “change the value of a custom field”. Is there a short_code approach or anything to let me do so? Thanks for any guidance on this.

We offer the GD Author Actions widget which includes a ‘delete’ link (optional).

What you want to do might be achieved by creating a new widget as a customization of the Author Action widget, a link to mark the listing ‘sold’ as you say.
