Can't add fields to Listings or Events

    I am having trouble adding fields to the section called “List of fields that will appear on add new Listing listing form”. This previously worked for me, but now either says that the field name is not unique (it is) or says”

    “Column creation failed, you may have too many columns or the default value does not match with field data type.”

    Is there a limit? I can’t add fields to either the listings or the events.

    Thank you for responding. But that didn’t provide an answer as to whether there is a limit to the number of fields or why I might be getting the error.

    That particular person managed to create 160 custom fields. I am getting the error message as soon as I try to drag any fields across to the list for Events. There are less than 20 in the section for Listings.

    Any ideas?

    There is a limit for the tables but it is a DB limit, not a GD limit afaik.

    I will flag your question for the developers who can add more info if needed.

    Hello brian,

    MySQl has some limit for database table. See http://ftp.nchu.edu.tw/MySQL/doc/refman/5.0/en/column-count-limit.html

    Please provide site link & admin credentials so we can check more.
