Can't add New Place w/o error

    Hi,

    I’m trying to add a new place and after putting in the address, it says “Please choose any address of the (Seattle) city only.”

    I have Seattle set as main location w/ a 40 miles radius.

    What am I doing wrong?

    the 40 miles radius only affects the search, I’ve already buzzed Vikas about this inconvenience. I want to give option to directory admin to enlarge the radius of the default location, if they don’t have the multi location addon installed.

    Clarification – I want to add places that are 40 miles in radius of Seattle, but I’m not sure how to set this up.

    I saw your post after my last post about me finding the answer. Thank you.

    So, as I understand it, you are possibly going to allow us to have a 40 mile radius for posting new listings if we don’t have the multi location addon installed?

    For example, Bellevue is 10 miles east of Seattle and it’s considered it’s own “city”, but to us Seattle people, Bellevue is an extension of our own town and we regularly do business there.

    I can see the need to purchase MultiLocation if I’m doing multiple cities across the U.S., but not if it’s within one area of the state…

    Thanks for clarifying. If this is the case, I look forward to the update!

    Is there ANY thing I can do in the mean time as I wait?

    I had the same problem. Brisbane in Australia is one city and one local government area, but is divided in about 50 suburbs (maybe called neighborhoods in the US?). Adding Brisbane itself as the GD location just allows you to add listings for the central business district, about 5% of what is known as Brisbane to everybody.
    I bet it would be the same for any city really, so I purchased the multi-location addon. I guess everybody’s got to make a living and get paid for their work 🙂

    Completely understood. I guess I’m going to have to find a way to monetize this in one area so I can pay for other areas 🙂
