Can't import more than 8k records at a time

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    When I click the “Select & Upload CSV” button, the page only responds when I cut the CSV down to <8k records. I’m looking to import much larger files at once, if possible.

    normally that is possible if you have enough server resources. What kind of server is hosting your website?

    They’re running on Linux, though I don’t know if that’s what you’re looking for

    Not really, is it a shared server, VPS or a dedicated server? How much RAM and what CPU does it offer.

    Storm Server (virtual server)
    RAM: 3932MB
    4 core Intel cpu 350GHz

    That should be enough, please try to set max_execution_time & max_input_time to 3000 (or a higher value) in your php.ini.

    The default setting of 2MB for file upload was too low. Works fine now.
