Can't see any listings

    i’m having troubles no matter what theme i’m using. currently using Responsive Theme. http://shoproch.com

    i installed the sample places and those show up if i view them by clicking the link from admin dashboard. http://shoproch.com/?gd_place=rittenhouse-square but if you click “places” in the wordpress breadcrumbs, you go back to a blank page again.

    I have “Set geodirectory home page as your home” and “Show the content section of home page” checked.

    any ideas would be appreciated.

    admin can see this post to see what i’m talking about. i’m posting a link but isn’t showing up. No Anchor???

    HI,

    I see the links….

    you need to setup permalinks 1st of all, than work with settings in GeoDirectory >> Design.

    If you send me wp admin credentials in a private reply I’ll have a deeper look.

    i changed the permalinks and for 1 second i could see the sample directories but then their gone. http://shoproch.com/places/

    is it the theme or am i just not following the right steps?

    Hi,

    1) you had the wrong map in home page widget area. You need to use GD > Gmap Home page, not GD > Gmap Listing page.

    2) In wordpress permalinks you had : /%places%/ (where did you find that?) It should have been /%postname%/ or /%category%//%postname%/.

    3) in GD > Design > Navigation > Show geodirectory navigation in selected menu locations, no menu location was selected.

    Now most things work, but for some reason only if I browse places in the everywhere location. If I try to change location or browse events (even in everywhere) I get no results found.

    I’ve tried everything that I can think of, even switching theme, but that didn’t solve, so I guess it is a matter of server configuration, probably php sessions, but I can’t be 100% sure.

    I need to flag this for a developer to look into it on a deeper level. Would you mind sending ftp credentials in a private reply?

    Hi,

    I found a problem in on of GD table, not sure what that happened.

    I will check it thoroughly if it appears again for any one else.
    Meantime I would suggest u to reinstall wp and all ad-ons again if possible.
    Just drop all tables from database, then go to home page of site, it will show u setup process again.
