Hi, my website has many different categories and I want to be able to choose which listings I want featured and displayed on my home page.
For example, I may want to display only the top 10 listings that have the most reviews on my home page. I know which those listings are, but I don’t know of a widget or way to display only the chosen listing to be displayed on my home page.

For now, I am just displaying the two latest listing for each category, but that is not what I want. I want to choose which listings I want to display regardless of category, maybe by listing ID or something like that.

Is there a way to do this?

    Thank you.

You can use tags “TOP10FEATURED” and then a related listing widget with tags specified.

Can you please give me more info on this?
What is “TOP10FEATURED”, is is a widget? I did not find it. How do use or set “TOP10FEATURED”? and which related widget do I use? Can you give me an example?

    Thank you.

    Try this:

    Tutorial: “Our Awesome Partners”

Use Case: Our site has some awesome partners, and we want to show these partners on every GD Listing page. Our site only uses Places, so these are Place listings that have a tag “Awesome Partners”. Each time we add a new partner, we add that tag, and then their listing shows up on the Listings page.

The Tutorial Description: An advanced tutorial for how to make an arbitrary group of listings with an arbitrary tag, and show them with the GD Listings Shortcode on the GD Listing page.

Note: Enabling the display of shortcodes in text widgets is outside the scope of GD Support. Check the resources section below for a ‘how to’.

    What you need:

    – GD installed and activated, listing page setup in GD Permalinks
    – GD Listing Shortcode

    [gd_listings post_type="gd_place" layout=5 tags="Awesome Partners"]

    – 1 or more gd_place listings with the tag “Awesome Partners”
    – Text Widget assigned to GD Listing Top section

    Steps
    – Add tag to the listings
    – Setup the Text widget, and include the shortcode
    – Enable shortcodes for the text widget
    – Enjoy!
