Category has grey background even I don’t choose any color under setting “Directory Color”. Is it bug? If I wanna do it transparent the only way is to add a css code?

Yes, you will need CSS for that.

One more question about categories. How could I make categories look like at example I attached. Is there any plugin to modify how categories tree looks or I need play with css?
