Category icons problems

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Hi,

    I had the problem with the disappearing icons – I then made a new icon for every category.

    I remember from times past that you had to try and delete the damage one twice then refresh and then you could upload a new one.

    I have input 28 new icons although they look the same, they are different for every category – now…

    Some work fine, some are still showing the old one even though in the backend it has the new one??

    Some places also shops the icon whereas others don’t show any icon?

    Im switching live today….

    Hi Vikas,

    I still have problems with my category icons, I have change every single one in every category to individual new icons – they are all showing correctly in the places category page but…

    I have even uploaded the new icon and replaced the default pin.png by fillezilla, i don’t know where this old default icon is being called from..

    Hi Vikas,

    Its something to do with listings not being in a category?

    Although all my places are in a generic category as well as some in others it looks like when I open the places with the default icon there are no categories listed – then when I select a category the correct icon comes up.

    I have tried to do a group selection and put these listings into a category but that doesn’t work, I would mention that all the places do however show up in the correct categories?

    Am having the same problem with not showing up category icons and rating stars. Please help me in solving this. I am new to this plugin so didn’t find solutions.

    Now I found that the star and category image locations path are hard coded in the database. Because first I had hosted in one domain and later I changed the domain name to some other. At that time the star and category images paths did not change. So my question is what should I do to correct the paths.

    Please give me the solution asap.

    Hi GUys,

    I know your busy but any news on this problem with the nap pins?

    It has been three months and i think it looks like I will have to go through the 6k listings and re save which seems to sort it out?

    ignore the above it seems to be changed with the update – just got to sort the css out again as things have moved around
