    Ok, the issue was the geolocation request that pops up. That is why it says 60 seconds. It times out. When I turned that off, the speed was 6 seconds.

    Now, uploading the categories I managed to get down to 10 minutes for 272 entires but turning off all other plugins. I don’t seen why it takes 10 minutes though.

    Hi Cappy,

    I noticed you had some url’s pointing to an old url (presumably you moved domain) which was throwing 404’s this can really slow things down especially if the other site is slow. I have tried to replace these urls. can you give things another check and see how it is now?

    Hi Stiofan,

    Yes, things are much faster now, thank you!

    I am still having some set up issues with the categories. The parent categories don’t list the total number of listings of sub-categories. For examples, I have “Hotels & Travels” as a parent category. Sub categories are hotels, B&B’s, Motels, etc. If I have 2 hotels in the sub domain, but none of the listings actually select the parent category, the parent category shows 0 and doesn’t show up on the map category select box.

    Hotels & Travels No Listings
    – Hotels 2 listings.

    That doesn’t make sense to me.

    The category select box on the map needs to have an “uptick all” option that users can select.

    How can I make the sub-categories default to close rather than open and showing all the sub-categories in the maps category select box?

    Its recommended if a place is in a sub category it should also be in the parent category, that would solve all issues.
