Category image on detail page

    Been searching around for a while with no success. If i don’t add any images to a place should the category image show at the top of the place detail page? IT only seems to show images when i add an image to a place and then it show both the category image and feature image.

    I think it depends on the theme, but normally the category image only appears in listings pages and search results pages (archives).

    Hi Kor, please see screenshots below, on the listings page it shows the category image but on the detail page it doesn’t show this image but i can see there’s a broken link for ‘default-thumbnail.png’. If i add an image to a Place (Store in my case) then this image does show along with the category image.

    Thanks Paolo, i had a feeling this was the case after spending a good while searching for info on this.

    I’m using Divi as my theme.

    Hi Andy,

    That image looks to be something custom you have added, it is linking to a broken image in your child theme. If you need help locating it please provide wp-admin details in a private reply and we can take a look. (only staff can see)

    Hi Andy,

    I found the code adding that image in the child theme and commented it out.
    I added the below code snippet to add the category image as the default image.

    add_filter('geodir_details_default_image_show','__return_true' );
