    Hi,
    I am designing a website completely based on your directory. I Have use categories and tags in the main menu. I just want to add different banner on each category page. I have installed additional plugin for this, but I am not able to find conditional tag for a particular category. Can anybody help me out with this?

    No need for extra plugins.

    You can do that in Places >> Place Categories.

    You can add a description and that will appear on top of each category page. You can add any html too.

    That really helped. But the HTML is placed below the search bar and breadcrumb what if I want to show my banner above search bar? I have tried using text(code) inside the widget area but I want to show different banner on different category listing. I tried to find conditional tag for category listing but was no able to do so.

    That is not possible, the category description appears above the listings in the main content area.

    You can use the same widget area used for the search bar and put a ad widget on top of it, but that will not allow you to assign a different banner to each category.

    Unless there is a plugin offering such conditional tags.
