I have been examining some user session recordings.

I have not seen many users actually progress to the subsequent paginated pages, many get preoccupied with whats showing on the map, then leave.

So I believe that in many cases this is due to the visitor thinking they are seeing all the results in that first paginated page (without appreciating there are more results to view) …this is due to how they are presented on the map (one might assume that if a map is presented that thats all thats on offer in that region).

However, it could also be due to the title of that page being:

    All [category name]”
    e.g. https://wpgeo.directory/whoop/places/category/hotels/

But in fact, not all results for that category are showing on that specific page !

Would it be possible for ‘all’ results to show on the map, with the results page be an infinite scroll type / lazy load… just an idea!

But in the short term could you please tell me how I can remove the pagination feature (or increase the number of returned listings per page) ? … so all / more results show on the map and no listings are hidden on deeper pages?

    Thanks

Increase the number or listings per page at WP Settings > Reading > Blog pages show at most

You can add the pagination to the top of the page too. Just add the [gd_loop_paging] element above the GD Loop.

You can show all listings on the map, just add

    all_posts="1"

    to the archive map element.

Some people have added infinite scroll plugins with some success.

    Thanks

    Thanks Guust

I have changed the number of listings per page which helps, that is easy… I sometimes forget that in this site ‘posts’ are how it all hangs together!

I don’t consider myself to be a coder, so please could you explain how I get to the place where I can add pagination [gd_loop_paging] to the top of the page (I am running Listimia by the way.

Also how to I get to the admin page where I can add all listings to the archive map element please?

    GD > Settings > General tab > Pages sub-tab > GD Archive
    GD > Settings > General tab > Pages sub-tab > Search

Also how to I get to the admin page where I can add all listings to the archive map element please?

    Appearance > Theme editor.
I suggest you ask Listimia for assistance with that, it is built in into one of their templates.

    Thanks

Thanks Guust, I have related that to Addicted to web.
