Certain Locations on CSV Will Not Import

    Hello,

    I’m trying to import some locations and 15 locations will not import.

    I had a larger file with 43 new locations and GeoDirectory said 43 had imported, but I realized that only 28 had imported. I went back to my file and created a new file to import with only the 16 that would not import, tried to import that file, and only one imported (even though GeoDirectory acknowledged that 16 had imported.) Finally, I isolated it down to the final 15, and when I import those, none of them appear in my places, despite GeoDirectory saying “15/15 imported.”

    I don’t have these places already in my Directory so I’m not sure what the issue is. I’ve attached the csv that failed to import.

    Hi Alchemi,

    Thanks for your post. I’m able to see some missing street address from the CSV file. Try correcting it and see if it works. Also, remove the extra coma from the first “post_category” . If it still doesn’t work, kindly share your Website WP admin access here in private reply so that I could check on it.

    The format of the CSV is incorrect, it does not match the export format.

    I suspect other listings from the batch would also have issues.

    In short, export your current listings, and then merge your new data into that exported CSV, being careful to preserve the column order.

    You will need to use Libre or Open Office. These are the only programs known to produce CSV without artifacts that will derail the import.
