Change Reviews to Testimonials

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Hi,

    I would like to change the term “reviews” to “Testimonials”

    Can someone point me in the right direction? If I do change the language, would I need to change it every-time geodirectory is updated?

    You will need to edit the language file, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/translation/overview/

    If you place the language file in the correct location, it will not need updating when the plugin is updated.

    This seems very complicated. Which file would I edit? Where would I place it so it is not overwritten with next update?

    1. Get PoEdit: https://poedit.net/

    2. Move this file
    /wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/languages/geodirectory-en_US.po
    to
    /wp-content/languages/plugins/geodirectory-en_US.po

    3. Edit the file with PoEdit on your local machine

    4. Upload the 2 new files that are created:
    /wp-content/languages/plugins/geodirectory-en_US.po
    /wp-content/languages/plugins/geodirectory-en_US.mo
