    Hello,

I have tried to use the .po file but it doesn’t seem to affect the website. I just need to change the word “place” from Add Place, Edit Place, Places, etc. to “listing” as in Add Listing, Edit Listing, All Listings, etc.

I don’t mind so much the dasjboard and backend, but I really need to change the front end for the users. Especially in the menu.

    I hope there’s a way

Thanks again for your awesome plugin

Hello Tabita, you can translate/rephrase that word (and so the others) using the .po inside the geodirectory folder.
More details, (and how to) at this address
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translate-core/

If you need more help, drop us a line, anytime 🙂

Hello Simone, (are you italian? if so, so am i 🙂 )

I have tried but first of all the actual phrase Add Place is not in the file, but also, when I tried to change other instances of the word “place” (e.g. Place Tags) it didn’t work.

Any idea? I might be doing something wrong

Awesome customer support by the way

Ciao Tabita, sì sono italiano 🙂

You should be changing the word “Place” and “Add”.

Ah Perfetto! Perfect! It works… Do you think I could change ALL instances of the word “place” to listing? Or do you advice against it?

    Grazie

Changing the word “Place” will change it from all the occurrences where the single word “Places” appears. You should be changing other strings where Place/Places is in it, of course.

Cambiando “Place” dal .po, ogni istanza di “Place” è già stata tradotta nella tua nuova parola, dove appare singolarmente.
Ti rimane solo “Place detail”, “Popular Places”,”Latest Places”,”Place Tags”…… e qualche altra (pensavo fossero di meno 😀 )

Yeah I noticed… they’re a lot! 🙂 One last thing (porta pazienza)… I have changed all of them to Listing (single words and phrases) but I still see this (screenshot). Any idea?

    Thanks again

Hmm that is strange, what you can do is to manually set that item in the menu (appareances/menu), you can find the items after you enable them in the screen options (on top of the menu page)
