Hello,

I saw this article, but this didn’t work. I need to change ‘Listing Title’ to ‘Business Name’ and ‘Listing Description’ to ‘Business Overview’.

https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/can-i-change-place-title-and-place-description/

How do I accomplish this now?

Thanks

Hi Tom,

This now uses the CPT singular name, if you have the CPT addon installed you can edit the singular name and it will change it there.

If you have any questions just ask.

Thanks,

Stiofan

Hi Tom

If you have Listing Title, that means you are using Listing as the singular name for your CPT.
So change that to Business.

Then change %s Title in the language file to %s Name.

%s refers to the singular name for your CPT, so the total result will be Business Name.

Also change %s Description to %s Overview

Thanks

Hi Guys, thank you, the CPT helps the first part. But I don’t see %s Title at all in the language file.

The CPT should change both, is it not changing it for you?

No, not in CPT. We wouldn’t want to do it in same place anyways since it affects things system wide. Would like just to change labels.

So you want listings to be called Listings sitewide, but only on the Add Listing page you want to call them Business? Am I understanding correct?
If you only have one CPT, you can then use this in the language file for %s Title:

%sBusiness Name

I am confused as to what you want to change though.
You don’t want to change the CPT name [“No, not in CPT. We wouldn’t want to do it in same place anyways since it affects things system wide.”] but at the same time you say “the CPT helps the first part”.
