Change title of listing

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Hi GD,

    Is it possible to change the title of ‘listing’ so it appears as another phrase in the menu?

    If so, how do I go about this?

    Hi,

    the only way to change the title of a listing is to edit the listing and change the title.

    Hi Paolo,

    Sorry what I meant is the listing in the primary menu.

    Can I call it something else such as directory?

    Ok, in that case you can use the language files to translate/edit that to whatever you like:

    Or you can remove it from design > navigation settings and put it back as custom links.

    I’ve downloaded Poedit. Do I then select Edit a Translation or Create new translation?

    To change the title listing, do I add a comment?

    I downloaded WordPress Language but I’m not sure how to upload the new po file.

    Do I then select Edit a Translation or Create new translation?
    If you are not changing from US English, you would edit the translation, but make sure you copy the MO and PO files to the correct location, ie /wp-content/languages/plugins

    To change the title listing, do I add a comment?
    You need to translate the existing string “Listings”, see image.
