Change wp-content name, GD will work?

    I want to change wp-content folder name to something else like just “content”, “assets” or whatever. I know the steps to do it but I’m not shure about one thing. Will GeoDirectory function properly after that? ( updates, core function, translations)

    If you do it the right way: http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/renaming-wordpress-wp-content-folder/ I believe it will work just fine.

    I know the same way of doing it. But in the meantime I installed iThemes security and found the option there. I’ll test everything on a demo installation and come with a reply after.

    It works with minor problems here and there. In the backend, wordpress options menu, Places element, before Geodirectory misses it’s logo.

    Also location categories pins aren’t there either. And they look like this mysite.com/test2/content/uploadshttp:/mysite.com/test2/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Attractions.png But this can be fixed by editing every category and reselecting the icon.

    Surprisingly, using the idea, to manually change wp-content using wordpress config file, gave me the same problem as above( with iThemes Secyrity) but tried it now, for the second time and everything just works. The only problem is with Buddypress as the users have to reselect profile photos.
