I needed to upgrade to a higher php version. Contacted the company the site is hosted with and they made the changes. Basically needed to migrate to a new server with higher version ..

After 2 days of hassle… One of my testing sites is back and there are no “places” nor any of the CPT’s I had created in backend. The links to the entries are still visible on the frontend, though they all go to a page “not found, error 404”.

As far as I know, the database was just transferred. The only thing that I did in the database was to go in and update url’s via Sql statements.

I can see the categories names and slug in wp_terms, but not sure what else I should be looking for…

Does any one have any ideas on what might have happened?

Thanks for any ideas/help that can be provided.

All plugins were updated and working prior to moving site.

I’ll escalate to the smart guys, but I am wondering why you needed to update URLs if you just moved server, I am guessing you kept the same domain name.
Anyway, I am sure Stiofan or Paolo will need URL, admin, FTP and phpMyAdmin details.

    Hi Guust,

Thanks for the quick reply. This is a test site and I am using an instant alias url until the site is ready to go live.

There is another one that should be up tomorrow and I’m hoping I do not have this same issue…!

Is the webserver set to accomodate the same domain as the old server?

    Link and credentials please?

    Thanks

    Hi,

there is definitely something missing in the database. You only had 4 listings in this website?

I can ask Stiofan if he sees exactly what is missing, but it could take longer than reinstalling and start over, in case the database was still minimal.

    Please let us know,

    Thanks

    Hi Paolo,

I sure am curious as to what happened! There are actually 3 cpt’s with test listings in each, plus the “places”.

And I know you guys are plenty busy so I’ll just reinstall everything…

Thanks for getting back with me!
