Changes Not Updating

    Hey Paolo,

    I recently been trying to change the colours on all of my buttons and text, however, nothing is changing over. 🙁 I am set up on a child theme.

    Hi,

    you have latest core, but outdated theme and add-ons.

    Can you please update everything to see if that’s what is causing the problem?

    So the Auto Updates is not working on my site, I am manually updating everything.

    Hi,

    probably this time is better if you upload manually. Next time you should activate (even momentarely) GD and 1 add-on on the main website and enter all licences in geoDirectory >> Auto Update / licencing (it’s important that this is done on the main website of the network.)

    At that point once the licences are saved in the db you can even disable GD and the add-on you activated on the main website and auto updates will work for the entire network.

    So I have just finished uploading all the new updates manually, so to clarify…

    -activate (evn momentarely?– wat do you mean momentarliy?) GD and 1 add-on on the main website (any add on? or one in particular?)

    That is correct, if you activate the licences on the sub site, updates will fail.

    Because updates of plugins and themes in multisite is made from the network dashboard, the licence keys must be in the the DB tables of the main website.

    By momentarely, I mean that you can deactivate GD in the main website once the licences are saved. It doesn’t need to stay active.

    Hi Paolo,

    OK I have done everything and it looks like it is all working, I am however having trouble fixing the header. We together back in December changed the header colour, but I cannot figure out where you changed it so I am stuck. Can you please help me. Even if we can set it back to its original form and I can play around with it. Sorry about this, and thank you for helping me.

    Also after all of that, it won’t update any changes I make today from the customizer. It updated it to the changes I put in before I deleted and readded everything. But any changes I make now like change the footer background colour to white it will not update. 🙁 Oh boy LOL

    Hello Kerri, This is an update. We believe its your server thats causing the issue.

    I see that you or your dev have added this line in your config file.

    define(‘FS_METHOD’,’direct’);define(‘FS_CHMOD_DIR’,0755);define(‘FS_CHMOD_FILE’,0644);

    When I remove that line, your server has file permission problems.

    We will try to fix this problem and let you know.
