Changing Category Slug

    Hi guys,

    I know that I can easily change any of the slugs, but is WP smart enough to 301 everything, or do I need to set up a .htaccess rule so Google doesn’t lose its mind? It’s the main category for my listings, with almost 10,000 listings for that category.

    Hi there,

    Yes, you’ll have to set up a redirection on your own and WP will not auto redirect it for you. There are plugins allowing to do so or you can do it in your htaccess file. If you google how to setup a 301 redirect you’ll find lots of info.

    I use the Redirection plugin, I just have to add the regex to make it all work. Thanks for the response, Kor.
