Changing listing title in menu bar

    Hello

    A question asked before. Is there a way to change the ‘Listing’ title shown in the menu bar? I would like this to read ‘Places’. Refer to attached.

    I have been advised to go here: In translation file. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translate-core/.

    I have downloaded the programme and started to have a look, but not sure how this works.

    Is it possible to provide more information.

    Hello

    Still trying to resolve this one. I feel I have followed the instructions – see attached. I have found a word titled Listing and Translated this to Places. I have saved this following the instructions in the second link. I see no changes.

    Not sure what I’m doing wrong. As a matter of interest, is this the only way to change the Listing heading in the menu bar? Can this be changed in the database?

    Please follow the instructions provided carefully, nobody else is having problem with this so I tend to think the documentation is spot on.

    This is the only way to change any text string in WordPress without modifying core files, because the string is in the template, not in the database.

    Thanks for the quick response.

    The documentation does not explain my specific change hence why I may be struggling. We will get there.

    The menu item is “Listing”. Do I search for this word within the list and translate this to “Places”.

    I do have other words in the site using the word listing. Will these be affected?

    Am I looking for the right word in the list?

    Any further guidance would be appreciated.
