Changing post structure

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    I have changed permalinks to post name option, and have broken the directory. I wanted to remove the index.php part. How can I fix this please?

    post_name should work. It is actually the best option.

    Its working now, perhaps it was a caching issue?
