    You can use this to create a slider: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ml-slider/ or possibly any other slider plugin.

    If you want to filter by location, you will have to use the GD Listings element. There is no slider that can filter by location.

    Correct. You can only add a GD Listings widget filtered by location OR a third party slider that cannot be filtered by location.
    The search results cannot be filtered or sorted by featured.
