    HI Guys
I have my fabulous directory working for Florida
    http://www.superseoflorida.com

And now I want to make sub pages for the individual cities for the SEO targeting value.
So Miami SEO etc, which has a blurb, map and shows miami businesses from the database.

I”m checking the best way to do this.
Should I create a basic page and use short codes?
Or pick up a template we have and restrict it to the City?

I haven’t had to do this before, and am a little rusty.
    thoughts?

    Thanks guys love the product!

    Mark

    Hi Mark!

Are you talking about the GeoDirectory location pages?

On the GD Permalinks page there is the selection for “Location page”, usually the slug is location.

    So it would be: https://superseoflorida.com/location/united-states/florida/seminole/

But that isn’t working, so your slug must be different.

You can add these shortcodes to a page to see all your pages:

    [gd_login_box]
    [gd_advanced_search]
    [gd_cpt_categories]
    [gd_location_switcher]

Write back with WP Admin if we need to check your settings.

GDV! Shortcodes and WIdgets cannot be made to filter by a certain location, mostly because GD creates a location for every location in the directory automatically.

    HI Alex!
I didn’t fully explore the location setup. I can do the seo I need there.
We’re focuesed on a state by state basis and United states only.
So I’m not sure if the slug is correct, but it needn’t include united states

For the location pages, are they customizeable via widget? Or are they a template unto themselves?
I want to customize them with specific copy and images, but not sure if that’s widgetable.

Oh I see they are working:

    https://superseoflorida.com/location/florida/

    https://superseoflorida.com/location/florida/miami/

When widgets are add to the GD Home content area, you have one example there already, they can have the option “Enable Location Filter” so that different listings will show depending on the location.

You can also add the “Location Description” widget to the GD Home content area. It will show the values entered into the SEO tab in

    GD – Multilocations – SEO

So, decorate those pages with listings and special location descriptions to make them into beautiful “individual cities for SEO targeting”.
