Seeking clarification as to how to best structure a multisite (a site for each country and an Admin for each country).

    So far:
Started with a single user site (UK) and upgraded to Multisite. So default site is the UK ie: http://url

    Required:
    Country 1 = url/UK
    country 2 = url/US ……. etc
Default = url/any_other_country that does not have a Redirect. (Intend to use the plugin IPRedirect subject to their upgrade and compatibility).

    Question:
The easiest way to make default http://url site to http://url/UK/ ?
I presume to test a Multisite by Country IP one needs to go through a proxy server?

    Thanks for ur help.
    Jay

    I have reworded the question:

How best to transfer/copy the default site https://tennisreferrals.com/ site to https://tennisreferrals.com/UK/ ?

Started with a single user site for the UK only (https://tennisreferrals.com/) and then upgraded to Multisite with a site for each country.

    Thanks for ur help.

Understood, you should be able to use this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/multisite-cloner/

Let us know how it goes,

    Thanks

Not sure about this plugin after reading further, which says the main site in your network (usually the one with ID = 1) cannot be cloned as it contains many DB tables, assets and even sensitive information that shouldn’t be replicated to other blogs.

    Hi Jay,

I’m really sorry, but moving a single site to a subsite within WordPress is beyond support. GeoDirectory has nothing to do with the process.

Personally I’ve never even tried to do something like that.

What I’d try is to look for a tool or a tutorial. I quickly Googled it and found this for example: https://deliciousbrains.com/wp-migrate-db-pro/doc/exporting-single-site-as-subsite-for-multisite-install/

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks
