    Hi yushan,

You’ll need to clear the database. But be careful, though, make sure you know what you’re doing and please make backups. I’d suggest that you try out this plugin, https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-database-reset/

    Thanks!

Hi Kor, I tried it by resetting all tables provided and I got all kinds of errors, but all got fixed once I reinstalled GD, and restored the database back again. so all back to what it was.

by the way, is any other ways to just remove the listings?
If I were to remove just some I could simply go to PLACES in GD, but I need to remove like thousands of listings, if I use database reset tool, It reset all the site configuration as well, so I have to reconfigure the GD again.

    Thank you much Kor

    Hi,

If you only have places to delete on your DB and there are no pages or posts that you must keep. you can drop the wp-posts, wp_postmeta and the wp_geodir_gd_place_details tables. If you have other GD CPTs
each table will have the CPT name in it, example for events it would be wp_geodir_gd_event_details.

If that’s not an option because you have blog posts and pages, you can only remove listings by deleting them from the back office. You can increase viewing 200 posts per pages from screen options and delete 200 at a time via bulk action.

    Thanks

Thanks Paolo, I truncated the three tables you mentioned (WP_POSTS, WP_POSTMETA and WP_GEODIR_GD_PLACE_DETAILS), the GD started without any places/listings, which’s great.

then, I tried to import some new places/listings, and imported it successfully.
but when I opened up the site, It redirected me to a listing and it always redirect me to that place/listing and I don’t see anything special with that listing.

so I redid the same process above, and the same issue appeared, it redirected to a listing.

must be something simple I missed, but could not figure out where, if you can help, that will be great.

    Thank yoy

Hi, I tried it again by cleaning up the three tables you mentioned and this time I loaded the sample data, just 10 of them and I reproduced the same issue, It always redirected me to a place/listing, same place everytime.

    please help. Thank you much

    Hi,

something is wrong in your Reading >> Settings, few default WordPress Options are missing.

I think the best thing to do here is to drop the database, reinstall WP and start over.

Not sure what happened, but I don’t think this can be easily fixed any other way.

Let us know how you went,

    Thanks
