Cloning core install of GD

    Hi Paolo,

    I’d like to clone the base installation set up , so that I can reuse the configuration for additional locations(cities). Example – I currently have a working directory set up for Glasgow, and the framework/themes/plugins are all configured nicely and working well. Now I’d like to set up a new directory for say Birmingham. The new URL/domain will be related to Birmingham. I want to clone all the settings for WP/GD from the Glasgow domain, copy to the new Birmingham domain and then start adding listings.

    I’ve tried using a WP Plugin (Duplicator) followed by Better/Search replace to change Glasgow to Birmingham.. It ultimately failed I think because it bypasses the GD ‘Set location’ step of the install, otherwise it looked good.

    Any suggestions?

    That sounds like an OK way to do it. After cloning and changing URLs you should be able to change the locations just like you would in any other GD install. Delete them or merge them etc.

    I turned off GD Booster and now it loads fine.
    I don’t understand why the map loads in the profile tab with GD Booster on, but loads properly with GD Booster off.

    PS: when you said you used “Better Search Replace” I thought you meant this one:

    I am not sure if the “Better Search Replace” is as thorough.

    I’ll get Paolo to have a look too.

    I thought I turned off GD Booster already, but maybe I just cleared the cache rather than disabled like you did. Thanks!

    I added a couple more listings with Booster turned off, and they worked fine. Then deactivated, deleted all related files and re-installed the Booster plugin, and re-enabled it. Same problem, Map doesn’t load with Booster turned on.
