    Hi,

I honestly don’t think most people will click on the cog wheel to open the extra search filters, so I was looking into the options to open it on search or have it always open, but whatever setting I choose in the widget options, it remains as it is.

Also was wondering if the dropdown for the cpt (places/events) could be changed, so users cant look for events on the places page and vice versa.

    Please see screenshot.

    Thank you,
    Tony

    Hi Tony,

Thanks for your post. To change the search option in the “Archive Page”, you need to edit the “GD Archive” tempate https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/templates/archive/ and customize the search shortcode options here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/advanced-search/#gd_search

    Hi Kor,

I added a GD > Search block, changed the settings and then converted the block to html which gave me the following result:

    [gd_search post_type=’image’ post_type_hide=’true’ customize_filters=’searched’ ]

I saved the page and refreshed. The cpt selector is gone, so that’s great, but I can’t seem to figure out how to open the cog wheel when searched or have it always open.

I also noticed that when clicking on the categories, for the events it only shows the categories that have events in them, whereas with the places, it shows all categories, so people get empty pages when selectiog a category without listings in them.

    Thank you,
    Tony

    Thanks Kor, that’s it.
