    Is there a quick way to combine 2 categories in same CPT into one category?

    The only way I can think of is export and import your listings and re-import them in the same category, and then delete the empty category.

    How about changing the category id in database? Eg, select all listing with Cat B id, change to Cat A id, It should just make Cat B link with Cat A. Then go and delete Cat B category from GD admim.

    WILL THIS WORK?

    Yes, I think that should work too.
    Try it with one listing, and check in the backend for the results.

    Tried, won’t work that way.

    Changing the category ID in geodir_cpt_detail table has no effect on listings. Listing are still in its original category even in detail table, the cat ID has been changed.

    However, if need to change _posts table, that is hard, because this table only record post ID, unless join both table together.
