    Great work ephes !!
Thanks for sharing this nice thing. Proves it is indeed working good.

Cause I am not so good in coding i have to wait when Paolo releases new integration. Also looking great his alpha, so i have to be patient. I know they are working hard :- )

Just to know: was it long work or you think with a good step by step guide it is possible to do for every-one your recoding like yours?

Also I saw on support site Avada, there are members asking for solutions with combi GeoTheme there.

Kind regards ! And success with the project !

Johan, this is my site, just using the GD child theme. All it would need is a but of CSS tweaking to make it look exactly like Avada by the looks of it, and it is free (for GD users).
[Disclaimer: Never used Avada, so don’t know why it is that popular]

    Hi,
Same as Johan, I am not so good in coding i have to wait when Paolo releases new integration.

I’m not a user of Avada theme, I browsed here http://themeforest.net/item/avada-responsive-multipurpose-theme/2833226 and the Live Preview, i like it, and I’m looking forward to having the Avada GD theme 🙂

I’ve always veen very wary of using any theme from Themeforest as their authors always seem to bundle many things into the themes that shouldn’t be there – custom post types, shortcodes etc. This means you’re effectively locked into using that theme for life, as changing themes would mean losing large parts of your website. Not sure if Avada is guilty of this, as i’ve never used it, but it’s worth thinking about.

The nice thing about Avada is that you can essentially turn off those features you do not want to use. And the code is quite well written and fast. There is a fine line to be drawn for those of us who are not coders. Using a bare bones framework makes sense but sometimes it puts us in over our heads yet using a theme with all the bells and whistles sometimes saddles you with a lot of extra stuff you don’t need and it results in inefficient code. To me from what I can see so far, Avada allows non-coders to put together something useful while allowing advanced coders the opportunity to do a whole bunch of neat things. It all depends on your needs. What works for some might not work for others.

One important point to make though is always ensure that you have properly backed up your site content so that you are not entirely dependent on one theme and therefore you can change and experiment with others relatively painlessly. And experiment on a development server or use something like WAMP or XAMP!

Thanks for your comments @kpeist! It isn’t a very hard work. But I’ve edited the theme for my own, so it shouldn’t but may break with other Avada configurations (I’ve not tested it with other than my actual configuration).

Regarding Avada, I endorse the comments made by @justmark ;).

    Hi,
Do you think Someone doesn’t know coding could run the Avada GD theme?!
Thanks in advance for your reply.

When GD release the version with shortcodes it should be a lot easier to use.

    Hi,
Yes, Valenti is very nice, great work!
    I still prefer Avada:
Many nice homepages, sliders, hearders, pages … to choose, WooCommerce interation, #1 selling WordPress theme, 100% responsive & Retina ready, over 60,000 satisfied users … !

With above, I have confidence to Paolo and his team to have a good Avada GD theme, and go with the theme as long as possible!

    Thanks

What plugin are you using for log-in and registration Roger?
