Conditional Rating Stars Output

    I am attempting to hide the listing overall rating stars from view based upon the user’s role.

    It seems that the results of geodir_get_rating_stars() is simply echoed out. What would be the best approach to override the HTML output for rating stars so that I can include my own conditional logic for output?

    Is it

    1. to modify $r_html via add_filter(‘geodir_get_rating_stars_html’,’_my_get_rating_stars_html’);
    2. to do something to override geodir_get_rating_stars(), perhaps adding an action
    3. something else

    Is there a suggested direction?
