    I am using a shortcode in a page to add a listing as follows:

    [gd_add_listing listing_type=gd_event login_msg=”Please register and login to submit listings” show_login=true]

    Is there a way I can “escape” it to add some explanatory text above it as when I enter plain text above the code it only shows the listing page and not my added text.

    Hi Conrad Murray,

    Thanks for your post. The message “Please register and login to submit listings” will only appear when the user is not logged in. Do you mean you want to display some texts above the add listing form? If you’re, you can just add it on top as shown in the attached image.
