Country gets lost on editing place

    Hi,

    another user already asked about this problem at the beginning of Jan’17, however the possible solution was set to private and I was asked to open a new ticket…

    On editing a place that was already created, the country is reset to nothing. So before being able to save the edit, one has to re-select the country (and then the region and city). This happens both in the front-end and back-end. It apparently only happens with translated versions of GD.

    Could you please take a look? Temp. admin access follows.

    I’ve just checked your Website and everything seems to work fine when I checked on it. I’m able to update and change the address. Do you mind listing down the steps in order to recreate the issue?

    Hi Kor,

    go to the Places listing, click on any of the three (e.g. Waffle House), scroll to place info and see that the country will be set to “Land auswählen” (“Select Country”) instead of South Africa…

    So, even if I only want to edit a typo in the place description I have to re-select Country, Region and City.

    Thanks for your prompt reply. That’s how it is supposed to work by default since the city, country and region are used together to form up a valid location on the map.

    I already have a valid location – in case of the Waffle House it is South Africa, KwaZulu Natal, Margate. I save it. I go someplace else. I open it for editing. The country is not South Africa anymore, but “Select Country” (the region and city are still ok). So even if I only want to add a website, change the description or whatever, before saving I am forced to select South Africa again. And then KwaZulu Natal. And then Margate (because it reloads after I reselected the country.
