Hi guys. I’m having a lot of problems here. On http://myfamilyguide.com, I have been trying to “pretend” to be a business owner and add a listing. I am only able to add a free listing (no payment, no coupon).

When I try to add a listing that is paid, at any price point, I get PHP warnings. I tried surpressing them per suggestions on other posts in this forum but that didn’t help, so I’ve un-surpressed strict error reporting. I also have wp_debug turned on in wp-config.php and that is not providing any information.

Adding images to a listing gives the following set of warnings:

Warning: getimagesize(): http:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 in/nfs/c12/h04/mnt/211089/domains/myfamilyguide.com/html/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory_template_actions.php on line 1017

Warning: getimagesize(http://myfamilyguide.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/temp_618/MG_8228-1.jpg): failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in/nfs/c12/h04/mnt/211089/domains/myfamilyguide.com/html/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory_template_actions.php on line 1017

Warning: getimagesize(): http:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 in/nfs/c12/h04/mnt/211089/domains/myfamilyguide.com/html/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory_template_actions.php on line 1017

Warning: getimagesize(http://myfamilyguide.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/temp_618/MG_8458-1.jpg): failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in/nfs/c12/h04/mnt/211089/domains/myfamilyguide.com/html/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory_template_actions.php on line 1017

Adding a listing without images, using an *existing* coupon code that allows for a free listing forever (this is a paid listing made free with the coupon), the following two PHP notices appear, and the listing is not published, and I return to the home page.

Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$usage_limit in /nfs/c12/h04/mnt/211089/domains/myfamilyguide.com/html/wp-content/plugins/geodir_payment_manager/geodir_payment_functions.php on line 4873

Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$usage_count in /nfs/c12/h04/mnt/211089/domains/myfamilyguide.com/html/wp-content/plugins/geodir_payment_manager/geodir_payment_functions.php on line 4874

If I use no coupon, and try to add a paid listing, when I click on the button, “Check out and pay” it doesn’t take me to paypal. It takes me to the homepage and the business listing doesn’t get posted.

On top of all of that, when I try to create a new Price in GD > Prices and Payments > Prices > Add Price, I can go through all the steps and settings, and when I click the ‘submit’ button, it says “Price created successfully.” But the new price is nowhere to be found.

AND, the same is true for coupons. Can’t create new coupons either. So basically, the entire site is currently unusable.

One more issue, which I suspect may be related. I had 6 GD-related plugins with available updates, and the GD theme wanted an update as well. I had to manually update all of these. Even after reading through the thread in this forum about the changed to the updating process, I was not able to get the new update screen to appear, nor was I able to find any sort of “old” license key. AND, when I tried to enter my new license key (purchased yesterday), it would not save.

Well, I turned on allow_url_fopen. That did seem to resolve the problem with the upload of images when creating new listings.

    All other problems remain.

In addition, now the login links don’t work; I get redirected to home page when I try to access myfamilyguide.com/wp-admin or click on the /gd-login link in the footer. I have noticed some inconsistency with this; haven’t tested every possible angle yet.

Ok, that was helpful, thank you.

I was able to update the location and price manager plugins via the method outlined in the link you supplied.

I am now able to add a paid listing, with photos, and the entire process works all the way through to PayPal. Thank you!

However, coupons still don’t work. If I try to use an existing coupon, it says it’s invalid (which does not seem to be the case). If I try to add a new coupon, it gives an alert instructing me to please select post type, when I have already selected a post type.

And yet another thing. I (as the buyer) received a regular receipt from PayPal, but then I also got an email from the site admin email address with the following text:

    Dear Susan Langenes,

Payment has been successfully received. Your details are below

WARNING FRAUD DETECTED PLEASE CHECK THE DETAILS – (IF CORRECT, THEN PUBLISH THE POST)
    ### The PayPal reciver email address does not match the paypal address for this site ###
    ————————————————–
Payment Details for Invoice ID #4
    ————————————————–
Item Name: http://myfamilyguide.com/ – Add Listing: Aardvark Cafe
    ————————————————–
    Trans ID: 6UX86732TJ8624710
    Status: Completed
    Amount: $1.00
    Type: instant
    Date: 14:16:12 Apr 06, 2016 PDT
    Method: web_accept
    ————————————————–

    We hope you enjoy. Thanks!

Those first two lines look frightening, or potentially frightening, to a prospective customer. Where and how can I make this look less scary? I can’t find any way to access the “PayPal address for this site”.

In addition to the scary “WARNING FRAUD DETECTED…”, the word “receiver” is misspelled as “reciver” and “paypal” is not properly capitalized. These are all red-flag items in my book that would freak me out as a customer. We need to change this.

    Hi,

    1) WARNING FRAUD DETECTED
Using paypal id as a merchant id detects verified payment as a fraud payment – FIXED

We have code that validates receiver email with merchant id during paypal response, so when paypal id used as a merchant id, it does not validates correctly. Because business field allows both PayPal ID an email address.
    Please @see https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/paypal-payments-standard/integration-guide/Appx_websitestandard_htmlvariables/#html-variables-for-shopping-carts

    2) coupons don’t working
Now coupons work fine after we ran GD Tools -> Clear GD versions and then re-saving coupons. Probably during the update process coupon fields were not created in the DB.

    3) misspell fixed

    All updated on your site.

    Please let us know

    Thanks

    Hi,

the developers didn’t have problems adding a new coupon and suggested I tried clearing my browser cache, which I did and now I can also add coupons to your website.

Please try the same and let us know,

    Thanks

I was just now able to add a coupon. I didn’t actually clear the cache first, but I saw that someone had created two new coupons so I created a third, and no problems.

    Thank you!
