In the description the info says: “Each CPT has its own form builder, so you can add in any custom fields, prices, custom categories and tags that you need. You can even create listings without a physical location and build a directory of websites or online services.”

One site I’m working on has very remote locations so I’m finding it very difficult to add listings as maps can’t find them. This would make other people give up as it gets impossible. I would like people to add their listing with the address for info but not use the map or set address as in this situation it’s not needed. Your info above implies you can do this. What are the drawbacks? Search? I really need to do this.
    Thanks.

What you might want to do is use the advanced options in the Location manager settings:

GeoDirectory – Settings – Location – Show advanced

You can try the option that will skip updating the address if the map pin is moved.

Unless you don’t want to use address or maps at all, probably you want to leave the physical location for the CPT enabled. That setting is in:

Places -> Settings – General – Show advanced – Disable physical location
