CPT slugs

    I have a question regarding slug/url and SEO. Currently I am having difficulty with Google Fetch not doing so well on my postings.

    Here is my current url for the CPT’s ” fire-department” – https://usfdins.com/fdepartment/california/adin/fire-department-1/adin-fire-protection-district/

    So that I do not mess everything up… How can I shorten the url and thus not show the “slug” fdepartment?

    The shortest URL you can have is domain/CPT-slug/listing-title.
    You always need CPT-slug.
    You can delete category slug, but not using location slug will change behavior of your site: locations will not be remembered when visitors browse to another page, and locations will not be in breadcrumbs.
