Create map showing different post types

    Hi,

    I’d like to create a map showing listings of different post types, is this possible?

    (I’m using the gd_map widget)

    The Directory map will have a post type switcher, whereas the Archive map will be shown only on Listing/Archive pages where one post type is displayed (only). So no, it is not possible to show multiple post types on the same map at the same time.

    Right, that makes sense. I’d like to include the post type switcher – what shortcode do I need to use to include that? Currently I am using the following and it does not show a switching option:

    [gd_map width=”100%” height=”425px” maptype=”ROADMAP” zoom=”0″ map_type=”auto”]

    The shortcode is fine. On which page do you want to place a map? Location Page? URL?

    I wanted to place the map here: https://www.simplfi-mockups.com.au/map/ – however I just wasn’t sure how to get it to display different post types.

    OK, try using the shortcode builder to create the map shortcode and make sure to select the post_type filter with the directory map type.

    Let us know how it goes.

    That’s the one! I’m having an issue with css (I think) as I can’t actually click the other post type buttons. I will provide my credentials in a private message below as it may help you to login.

    Hello,

    I see what you mean, and I made another map and a test children’s listing.

    Of course the links won’t light up if there are no listings of that types, but, even with the test listing now I see now records or cannot select it.

    I will flag this for the developers to take a look, as I cannot see anything obvious.

    There is an issue with CPT switching on directory map. It will be fixed in next update.
