Hi, I searched for the terms minify and compress and didn’t find anything related but I’m sure that this question has been asked and answered somewhere so please excuse me if I missed it.

I am working on page speed and am wondering if anyone has had luck with any of the minify scripts. I tried to use Better WordPress Minify but it broke a lot of different things, navigation, layout…

    Any tips would be appreciated!
    Thanks!

I use https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache on one site (which does not use GD), but must admit I have not played with too many settings. But it has minify and caching options.
If you find anything, please share. Thanks.

Just wondering if anyone has anything to add here…what’s been tested, experiences, what worked, what didn’t, etc?

    cheers

    Guust,
sorry, those links don’t work for me somehow. I’m actually testing the pagespeed and it’s currently 36/51. Any ideas what can I do about it?

This is basically what Paolo said in these posts:

I would avoid using similar caching solution with an app plugin like GD. It will break sessions and create all sort of problems like this one.
Plus GD is optimized so that a caching plugin isn’t really necessary.

    And in the other post:

at the moment you won’t find any plugin which will be able to cache and concatenate css and js files succesfully for GD.
All plugins are made for rather simple themes/plugins mostly dealing with default wordpress options.
GeoDirectory add locations pages and dynamic maps, which would require a dedicated plugin to achieve proper caching and file concatenations.

Just FYI, a GD Booster addon, similar to GT Booster (page cache and css and js concatenation) is on the to do list.

None of the popular caching plugin will work with GD. To many things to deal with.

    Thx
