    Hi,

I use GoDaddy shared hosting and am having issues with the CSV upload tool. There are times when the upload tool works, but doesn’t upload all entries in the CSV file. Other times I’ll get an “address error” and the notice will advise “import successful, 0 of X entries uploaded”.

When the CSV import actually imports some entries I often get a 404 this operation took more than 30 seconds error.

Has anyone else seen this? Advice on how to proceed?

    FYI,

I am using OpenOffice to format and save the CSV as suggested in this forum.

It seems like I’m making progress here.

I tried using OpenOffice & turning my (1) CSV file into 5 different files- no luck.

I changed to Excel & turning my (1) CSV file into 5 different files and I am able to import!!!

Now I’m getting invalid address errors. Some of these businesses do not have a physical address and only support delivery services. Even though I’ve provided latitude and longitude GeoDirectory still will not accept them because of a missing physical address. —- Is there any way to fix this or do I need to input these manually?

    Hi,

Address is a must field to be there in csv for a listing.
Please enter anything and then set in back end not to show address anywhere on the site.

    Hi Vikas,

When you say enter anything do you mean any valid address or any text? If I put in “N/A” with that cause an issue?

No, It will not cause any issue but u have to have correct Geolocation (lat/lng) of that listing to be appeared on map correctly.

    Thanks
