Hi,

We’re using WordPress Version 4.94 and GD Directory Version 1.6.25.

By default Login & Register use the same page. We want to put the Register form on a separate page. Why? the Register page has some marketing info built using Unyson editor, so ideally we need to use a shortcode or insert php to that page.

We’ve looked at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-geodirectory-templates/ so we’ve moved the two files reg_frm.php and login_frm.php to geodirectory folder within the sites theme. But how do we use either of those files? Can we edit the example given in https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-geodirectory-templates/ so that the Register page is inserted our own page?

Hello,

UsersWP splits up the pages, login and register. http://userswp.io
It’s a very lightweight plugin and the pages allow you to add your content as you describe.

For the customization, I will flag your question for the developers so they can offer a pointer. Thanks for your patience while they look into your questions.

I would recommend UWP as your best option.

Not sure which way we’re going to go but thought someone else might find them useful.

Is there a way I can change the default URL the GeoDirectory uses for the registration?

I want to send the user to my site’s registration page, not the GeoDirectory registration page.

(I’m currently using Memberpress to handle my registrations, by the way.)
