Custom Map Icons

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Hi – I changed the icons in the custom post types but they are not showing on the map, still the default ones. Is there something else I need to change? Please advise where the instructions to change the map icons are for custom post categories and I will make sure I did it right. My map link is below. Thank you.

    Hi,

    the listings with the default marker are returning 404 page not found if you click on them.

    There must be something wrong in the data of these listings.

    If you provide a link and admin credentials we will have a look.

    Hi,

    all listings with problems are in category Mixed AVAs.

    I opened one and the category selected was not correct. I deleeted the currentl selected “non category”, selected mixed AVAs again and it worked.

    You will have to correct them all one by one. They are not that many.

    Another problem yuo ahve is the hosting used. GoDaddy WordPress manage plan has a caching system that will create you problems.

    It’s not compatible, you should ask them to move you in a VPS.

    Thanks Paolo – I updated the listings as you indicated thank you.
    But I am still seeing the default icons on the map, not the new ones I uploaded. For instance in the Wineries CPT I uploaded an icon with a wineglass but the heart icons are still showing on the map – is this due to the GoDaddy caching system problem you indicate?

    You need to change the icon for each category in Wineries >> Winery catgeories. The icon for the CPT is only needed for the WP dashboard menu.
