Hi there, we have started to use version 2 and so far so good.
Building directory with CPT’s for ‘Companies’ and we also have custom categories’ assigned to the CPT’s. In version 1 of geo-directory you had the option to assign multiple categories to each company. In version 2, I can find out where to do that.
1. Within the CPT category system, we have build a hierarchy of categories that you can chose from and select at any level, but also select multiple categories. Eg. a company could provide a service which was for project management + construction, but other companies could provide a service for just project management. The same would go for the parent and child categories.
e.g.
– Main Category, project management; construction
— Parent Category; engineering; procurement; etc
— Child Category; design services, etc
In version 1, we had this functionality, but in version 2, cant figure out how to get this back in. I’ve read post’s about ‘default categories’. This is really important to make our directory work. Appreciate your help.
