Custom Post Type & Import .csv

    Hi

    I have a list of professionals in .csv format with, for instance, this fields:

    Name
    Profession
    Description
    Address

    And now I create a CPT with these same fields

    Can I import all the .csv into the CPT with the same fields? How Can I do it?

    HI Carlos, please follow this documentation about CSV and the mandatory fields http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/core-general/#csv , you should rename, in the csv, the name (i assume it is title?) description and address and creat a custom field named “Profession” in the backend and add this in the csv as “geodir_profession”.

    A good start is downloading the sample.csv available in the Import/export settings, in Geodirectory.

    Is it possible to import (export) listings from a geotheme site to a geodirectory site and if so HOW?

    HI Colin,

    at the moment the only way is to work thourgh GT database via PHP my admin, gather the data and import it back.

    Unfortunately it hasn’t as easy, for this reason we are working on a GT export tool too.

    We will announce it hopefully by the end of June.
