    Hello,

I am looking for some help with my custom post type initial set up after making a new CPT. I have created a new CPT directory that is very similar to GD Places, but will serve a different function on my site. I have used the GD places for one element and also GD event for another. Both were quite easy to set up, but I am finding it difficult to get this CPT set up after the initial part.

I basically want this new directory to have all the similar structures to the GD places; like location, add listing, search, TOS, etc. I have currently gone to the post type page and clicked “add new”. I then went through all the settings and created my fields and tabs. When I went to check it out on my menu I noticed it wasn’t there. So I went to setup my menu for this new CPT directory.

Can you tell me what I need to do next in order to get what I have setup on the backend to appear on the front end. I have gone through the documentation on CPT, Pages, Navigation and a few others. I have created a new page but I can’t seem to find any GD templates in the new page settings. I also can’t seem to find the set up wizard mentioned on the navigation documentation page. I guess I just need to know what is required after creating a new CPT in order to get it to the same or similar appearance as GD places? Do I need to create new pages? If so, which ones and what settings? Once the pages are set up anything special I need to do to setup the menu Navigation? Is there anything else I’m missing?

Also I’m running GD v2 and just updated it. WP is up to date and I have several plugins as this is a membership portal using WOffice theme and Paid Memberships Pro.

Sorry for the length. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Cheers,

    Justin
