I just read this in the documentation:
“ Assign Category IDs
It is not possible to assign specific category IDs using GeoDirectory options. WordPress creates the ID and assigns it. It is not possible with GeoDirectory import/export and falls outside of support.”
This doesn’t make sense to me because I have already, separately, created the categories…so why would WP creating and assigning the ID have any relevance? I just look up the ID and input them into the CSV.
But is this why I am having problems with default categories not being set even though I have entered them in my CSV file import?
I don’t see a problem with this for categories, it does actually seem to set those, despite the documentation saying it doesn’t…and even if it didn’t, that is super easy to fix because I can choose a whole bunch of listings at once and change their categories once they are imported into WP.
The issue I am seeing with this is in doing massive amounts of imports and having to go into each and every listing individually to set the default category so the map image appears the way I want it. Is there not away to import this or at least to bulk edit this??
