    Hello, is there a way to have the default images rotate through a few images instead of just one? This would be a nifty feature. Thank you.

    Thanks for your post. Have you tried inserting this shortcode https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/design-elements/#gd_post_images on top of your post details listing page and see if it’s what you’re looking for? Change the output type to Slider

    You can upload an animated gif as a default image for a category …

    Thank you for the response. Not looking for a slider or a gif though. The directory I’m working on is basically using placeholder type images for the listings. It would be great if the default images could be randomly assigned from an array that I could upload. It currently just allows for a single picture, then that image is applied as the default image. I’m having to manually update 3 different photos to each listing to get the randomized effect. Maybe this could be worked into an update. 😉

    Hi Joy,

    It sounds like you might do better with using a 3rd party slider like Slider Revolution. They have a hack that can randomize slides. You could use that on a detail listing template in V2 no problem.

    I’m back – so my directory is not utilizing photos/sliders on the detail listing template. I’m just trying to manipulate the default listing image(shown in widgets). Any ideas on getting working that out without having to manually upload an image per listing? Thank you.

    Upgrade to GDV2 and use the 3rd party slider in the Archive item template

    I’m using GDV2 – is there any documentation that you can share that would explain this a bit more? I’m still figuring out all the new bells and whistles with the update. Thank you.
