Description limits and text formating

    Hi everyone,
    I’m using different Description limits in different price packages. I also allowed HTML.
    But when user writing exceeds the Description limit an Alert message appears and then kills all previous formatting.
    Is there a way just to cut exceeded text without losing all formatting? It’s important because my users losing a lot of their time formatting their description.

    Hi,

    I’m not 100% sure I follow you. When there is a characters limit and you hit it, it just doesn’t let you write more characters. There is no alert message that I know.

    Could you let me know how to reproduce what you mean, step by step?

    Yes, there is a popup and when I click OK all previous formats disappear.

    If you are pasting it in then it will remove the characters after, this might include the closing html tags which might be what you are seeing.

    Pasting or typing, no matter what I do, the Popup always cancels my previous formatting. This can be very frustrating for many users.

    Hi,

    if you are typing that cannot happen because there is no pop up in that case.

    If it happens only when pasting, just make sure you are not pasting more than the allowed characters.

    We can’t remove the exceeded characters while also preserving formatting.
