Description of default

    I am setting up sub-categories of the Parent “Contractor” and do not quite understand what the “Description of Default” means? I hesitated to put the definition of “What a General Engineering Contractor is until I got confirmation.

    Is my understanding correct. I can use this area as a definition of what a General Engineering Contractor is and does?

    HI,

    if you enable that, it will use the same description, no matter which location you are visiting.

    For example, if you enter : General Engineering Contractor in %location% and you visit the category page for the location new york, the description will display: General Engineering Contractor in New York.

    If you want to disaply a totally different category description for each location, thatn you can disable that option and enter a differet description for each lcoation in your database.

    Thank you. I like the example “General Engineering Contractor New York. I thought that I needed to put a long description of “what a General Engineering Contractor is. The short description will be just fine.

    You can even leave it blank, it is not mandatory…
